On Valentine’s Day, nursing facility residents were surprised with cards, roses, and kind words from Ironwood State Prison (ISP) staff.
The ISP executive staff, community resources manager, and employee association members brought Valentine’s Day gifts to the skilled nursing facility. Overall, they also brought smiles to the 48 residents at Blythe Post Acute facility.
ISP recognizes these types of visits offer moments of happiness and connection lasting well beyond the holiday. These activities enrich daily life for the volunteers as well as the residents.
“All who volunteered to participate in this event were truly touched,” said ISP organizers. “We look forward to returning to visit the residents again soon.”
