Michael Perry, retired correctional officer

Michael Perry, a retired correctional officer, passed away Feb. 7, 2025. He had worked for the department for nearly 30 years before retiring in 2014.

Michael Perry

Perry began his career with the department in January 1985 at California State Prison, Solano. He remained at the institution until retiring in July 2014.

“Perry was highly respected by his peers and a well-loved member of the Solano family. Perry was a trusting friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know and work with him. Our sincerest condolences are offered to his family. At this time of mourning, please keep the Perry family in your thoughts and prayers,” according to a statement issued by the institution.

Details regarding funeral arrangements are not yet available.
