CDCR shows staff appreciation through football

CDCR institutions showed staff appreciation through a shared love of football. California State Prison, Corcoran, grilled burgers and hotdogs for a Superbowl-themed event. Meanwhile, at California Medical Facility, staff donned hats emblazoned with football team logos.

Corcoran hosts football-themed staff appreciation event

Showing appreciation for employees, California State Prison, Corcoran, hosted a Superbowl-themed staff appreciation event Feb. 7.

The event was sponsored by:

  • Correctional Peace Officers Association
  • California Correctional Supervisors Organization
  • Chicano Correctional Workers Association
  • Employee Activity Commitee

First watch staff was provided hot coffee and doughnuts as they were leaving the institution.

For second and third watch staff, each facility was provided hamburgers, hotdogs, and a beverage. This allowed each facility to be able to barbecue among their coworkers.

Staff were also able to wear their favorite NFL team hat to celebrate the Superbowl. This all added a touch of excitement to the work environment.

CMF staff don football team hats

In the spirit of Super Bowl excitement, California Medical Facility (CMF) staff donned hats representing their favorite NFL teams, adding a playful rivalry to the workplace. Beyond team spirit, the activity fostered coworker camaraderie. Whether rooting for the Super Bowl contender or other favorites, employees enjoyed the chance to connect over their shared love of football.
