Inside CDCR has been made aware of the passing of Jessica Urka, a registered nurse at California Health Care Facility (CHCF) in Stockton. She passed away Sept. 17, 2024, according to the institution.
Urka began her career as a registered nurse at the CHCF in April 2014.
“During her state service time, she formed many new friendships and was very well respected by her coworkers, supervisors and managers,” according to the institution. “Our hearts go out to Jessica’s family during this most difficult time. Her family will remain in our thoughts and prayers for the loss they have endured.”
