Antonio “Tony” Reyes, a correctional officer at California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi, passed away April 23, 2025.

Antonio Reyes

He began his career with the department in April 2017 after graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy.

Reyes first reported to California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo.

He then transferred to California Correctional Institution in September 2018, where he remained until his passing.

A memorial for Reyes was held May 9 at the institution. Read the story about the institution’s tribute.
