Take Your Kids to Work Day in video

Some CDCR institutions chose to submit a video of their Take Your Kids to Work Day events. This extra effort deserves some extra recognition.

Salinas Valley gets in on the fun

“I’ve worked here over 10 years and this is the first time I’ve ever been able to bring my kids to see where I work. It’s been really fun to share it with them (and) answer their questions,” said Dr. Kemp, Chief Psychologist at Salinas Valley State Prison.

California Medical Facility takes kids to work

California Medical Facility (CMF) in Vacaville had an eventful Take Your Kids to Work Day. Check-in began at 8 a.m. in the visiting room where everyone enjoyed pastries and breakfast. Acting Warden S.M. Williams greeted the kids and families and then the group headed inside to tour the institution.
