Robert Ware, a retired correctional officer, passed away May 30, 2025.
He worked for the department for 28 years.
Ware began his career with the department in March 1984 at San Quentin. He remained at the institution until retiring in December 2012.
“He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our sincerest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time,” according to San Quentin.
