Dwayne Moore, a retired correctional officer, passed away June 12, 2025. He worked for the department for more than 30 years.

Moore began his career with the department as a cadet at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy in September 1990.
After the graduating, he reported to San Quentin in October 1990 as a correctional officer.
He then transferred to California Medical Facility (CMF) in March 2002, where he remained until his retirement in January 2021.
“Our sincerest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. Funeral services have yet to be announced,” according to CMF.
