San Quentin Rehabilitation Center (SQ) announced the June 21, 2025, passing of Case Records Technician Autherine Canada.

Canada started her career with the department as an office assistant at SQ in February 2006. The following year, she promoted to program technician at the Department of Health Services. Canada then transferred to Department of Social Services in March 2007.
She then returned to SQ as a case records technician in January 2020.
“She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Our sincerest condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time,” according to SQ.
Funeral service information is not yet available.
