Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) in Chowchilla is celebrating a successful life-saving blood drive held in late May.
“A special thank you to everyone who assisted in this event,” said CCWF organizers.
The community resources manager’s office supplied gifts while a sergeant helped Plant Operations set up tables and a pop-up tent. The records also office pitched in with two grand balloon arches. All donor participants enjoyed a t-shirt provided by the Central California Blood Center (CCBC).
The next blood drive at CCWF is planned for Aug. 25 featured a pint-for-pint promotion. Each donor will receive a free pint of Umpqua Ice Cream on the day of the event.
The CCWF team registered 43 donors and collected 34 pints, saving up to 102 lives.
