Todd Boone, a retired correctional officer, passed away July 2, 2025. He worked for the department for 14 years.

Boone began his career with the department in February 1999 as a cadet at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center.
After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy in April, he was assigned to California State Prison, Sacramento. Three months later, he transferred to Folsom State Prison, where he remained until retiring in October 2013.
“Beyond his exceptional work, Officer Boone’s positive attitude and kind heart touched the lives of his colleagues,” according to the prison. “We wish to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Officer Boone during this difficult time. His service and dedication were an asset to CDCR, and he will truly be missed by those who knew him.”
A celebration of life for retired Officer Todd Boone will be held from 1-6 p.m., July 27, at the Folsom Moose Lodge, 203 Scott St., Folsom. Family, friends, and colleagues wishing to pay their respects are welcome to attend.
