Karen Anthony, a retired correctional case records analyst, passed away July 9, 2025.

She began her career with the department as an office assistant at High Desert State Prison in Susanville in September 1997. Anthony later promoted to office supervisor in July 2004.
Nearly a year later, she was promoted to case records analyst at Deuel Vocational Institution in Tracy. In 2012, she transferred back to High Desert State Prison in Susanville.
In July 2016, she joined the California Health Care Facility in Stockton where she remained until retiring in May 2017.
“Karen will be greatly missed by all who knew her and worked with her over the years,” according to the institution.
Services will be held at 5:30 p.m., July 28, at Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center, 7100 Verner Ave., in Citrus Heights.
