Eddeis Adams, a retired correctional officer, passed away Sept. 1, 2025.

She worked for the department for nearly a quarter century.
Adams began her career with the department in December 1998 at the Southern Youth Correctional Reception Center.
In December 2011, she then transferred to California Medical Facility (CMF) in Vacaville as a correctional officer. She remained at CMF until she retired in February 2022.
“Our sincerest condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time,” according to a statement issued by CMF.
