Ironwood State Prison recently hosted a music and motorcycles event by Dennis Martinez’s Salt & Light Productions.
The event featured BMX bikes, Harley Davison motorcycles, and musical performances by Latin grammy award winning singer Paulina Aguire.
There was also a Battle of the Bands competition with a trophy presentation from California 51st District Assemblyman Jeff Gonzalez. The trophy went to Facility C’s Seven Locks band.
The event was filled with positive messages of hope. Thanks to a BMX rider, the population was treated to jumps and flips. Meanwhile, guest speakers offered encouraging words of change.
Overall, the event was well received by the incarcerated population as well as staff.
