CSP‑Corcoran mourns passing of Javier Estrada, mechanic

California State Prison (CSP) Corcoran is mourning the passing of Maintenance Mechanic Javier Estrada. He passed away Feb. 18, 2026.

Estrada began his career with CDCR in January 2017 as a maintenance mechanic at Valley State Prison in Chowchilla. He later transferred to CSP-Corcoran in February 2019 where he remained until his untimely passing.

“Javier was a treasured employee and friend to many at CSP-Corcoran and will be greatly missed by his friends and co-workers,” according to the institution. “We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Javier’s family, loved ones, and friends during this difficult time.”
