Anthony Malone, a retired correctional officer, passed away Feb. 8, 2026.

He worked for the department for 26 years.
After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy, he reported to San Quentin in February 1990. He remained at San Quentin until he retired in January 2016.
“He will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time,” according to the institution.
Services have already been held.
