Frank Marquardt, retired correctional sergeant

Frank Marquardt, a retired correctional sergeant, passed away on March 30, 2026. He worked for the department for two decades.

Frank began his career with CDCR on September 17, 1990, after graduating from the academy. He was first assigned to Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP), where he served until his promotion to California State Prison, Solano in 2001. In 2002, he returned to MCSP as a sergeant, continuing to serve with distinction until his retirement in 2010.

Throughout his 20 years of dedicated service, Frank was known for his professionalism, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the mission of CDCR. He brought exceptional knowledge, steady leadership, and sincere compassion to his work. His presence strengthened those around him, and his contributions left a lasting impact on MCSP, CSP‑Solano, and the Department as a whole.

“Frank will be deeply missed as a colleague, mentor, and friend,” said MCSP. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and all who were close to him.”

Services will be held on April 15 at 1 p.m. at Price Funeral Chapel, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Fair Oaks Cemetery, 7780 Olive St., Fair Oaks, CA 95628.
