Pharmacy Technician Jennifer Medrano, a valued staff member of the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison (SATF) at Corcoran, passed away March 31, 2026.

Medrano began her career with the department in 2007, serving in the SATF Pharmacy for her entire 18 years and 4 months of state service. Throughout her career, she was known for her dedication, compassion, and commitment to supporting the health care needs of the institution.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jennifer’s family and friends during this difficult time,” said SATF.
Medrano is survived by her husband, two adult sons and a teenage daughter.
“She brought us all together, and was our matriarch,” her family shared. “She was a mother, daughter, wife, sister, best friend, grandmother and most of all, she was loved.”
Services will be held Thursday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at Peoples Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty St., Hanford. A Celebration of Life will follow from noon to 4 p.m. at 506 N. Douty St., Hanford.
