California Health Care Facility (CHCF) in Stockton is mourning the passing of Supervising Registered Nurse II (SRN II) Oby Som-Anya, who passed away Aug. 26, 2026.
She worked for the department for nearly 13 years.
Som-Anya began her California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation career in October 2013.
“She will be missed by coworkers and peers, as her cheerful presence brightened every day. Please join us in expressing our condolences, thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Oby Som-Anya,” CHCF wrote.
