
Diane Taylor, a retired office technician, passed away Sept. 20, 2026. Services will be held Oct. 7 in Tracy.
She began her state career as an office assistant with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control in 1990. The following year, she transferred to the State Compensation Insurance Fund. She worked for the state for 21 years.
In August 1993, she began working for CDCR as an office assistant at Deuel Vocational Institution in Tracy. She later promoted to office technician in December 1997. Taylor remained in this position until she retired in March 2011.
“Diane Taylor built lasting workplace friendships and was deeply respected across all levels of CDCR, from her immediate coworkers to senior management. She is survived by daughter Dawn Taylor and a host of family and friends to cherish her memory. Our hearts go out to Diane’s family during this most difficult time. Her family will remain in our thoughts and prayers for the loss they have endured,” according to a statement issued by California Health Care Facility in Stockton.
Funeral mass will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Oct. 7, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 165 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy.
