California Institution for Men (CIM) in Chino recently hosted its annual Employee Health and Benefits Fair.
The fair brought together representatives from health plans, employee benefit programs, wellness resources and other services to help staff make informed decisions about their benefits and future. Staff visited booths to ask questions, gather information and learn about the options available to them during the open enrollment period.
Working in a correctional environment can be demanding. Taking care of the people who keep the institution operating safely and effectively is an important priority for Warden Mejia and the CIM Executive Team.
The benefits fair provided employees with a convenient opportunity to focus on their own health and financial well-being while connecting them with resources available to them and their families.
The event was a great reminder that open enrollment is more than choosing a health plan; it is an opportunity to review benefits, explore available resources, and make choices that support employees and their families throughout the coming year. Also, on hand to provide useful information and resources to staff was a representative from California’s 53rd Assembly District, Assemblymember Michelle Rodriguez’ Office.
The event also highlighted a food vendor, who offered up a delicious lunch of BBQ Brisket, Burnt Ends and Mac and Cheese.
CIM thanks all the participating vendors, staff members, and organizers who helped make the CIM Health and Benefits Fair a success.
