2020 Division of Adult Parole Operations Professional of the Year

The Division of Adult Parole Operations Professional of the Year is given annually to the person or persons who work to successfully reintegrate individuals to their communities by helping them be drug-free, healthy, and employable members of society, all in a safe and humane environment.

Roosevelt Whisenant, Parole Agent III

Roosevelt’s exemplary leadership and enormous yet quiet impact led to outstanding results as he oversees the DAPO’s Community Transition Program and Transitional Case Management Program.

It is a big job. He has 110 staff in 35 prisons across the state and Division Headquarters. His staff is responsible for initiating the reentry process for eligible inmates.

His technical proficiency, effective communication, and team player attitude combine to make him one of CDCR’s most successful leaders.
