January 28, 2022
2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
The CCJBH January 2022 Full Council Meeting featured a presentation by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) on the Behavioral Health Assessment Report. To inform future planning, DHCS, in collaboration with its stakeholders, produced an assessment report on California’s behavioral health system: Assessing the Continuum of Care for Behavioral Health Services in California: Data, Stakeholder Perspectives, and Implications. This report reviews data and stakeholder perspectives as DHCS implements major behavioral health initiatives, including the Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program; responses to new federal funding opportunities; and DHCS’ proposal for a Section 1115 Medicaid demonstration waiver in 2022 to strengthen mental health services for people living with serious mental illness and children and youth living with serious emotional disturbance. The report was presented by Tyler Sadwith, Assistant Deputy Director of Behavioral Health at DHCS.
In addition, CCJBH transitioned into its business section and provided available updates.
This meeting is open to the public, and the agenda was posted on January 18. The Zoom registration link is below:
