Cal Voices Webinar: California Association of Peer Professionals

When: Wednesday, January 20, 2022, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.

Description: Learn about the California Association of Peer Professionals and how you can have a voice in its development. In response to the passage and current implementation of the Peer Support Specialist Certification Program Act of 2020 (SB 803), Cal Voices is launching the first-ever statewide Association of behavioral health peer professionals (the “Association”). Cal Voices is excited to partner with clients/consumers, parents/caregivers, family members, transition age youth, current and prospective peer employers, public employee unions, and other stakeholders to develop a useful, collaborative, and innovative network to inform the meaningful work of peers in the behavioral health field. The Association is a membership-based organization that provides services and benefits to both certified and non-certified behavioral health peer professionals in California, with an emphasis on education, certification, practice guidelines, professional standards, working conditions, and career development.
