Madera Elks honor two CDCR peace officers

On Aug. 22, the local Elks Lodge #1918 hosted the Annual Peace Officer of the Year Banquet in Madera. The event recognized the law enforcement agencies from the surrounding communities in of Madera and Chowchilla.

This year Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) had several qualified candidates who were nominated by their peers or supervisors. The selection process was very tight and the competition was very competitive.

This year’s 2019 Peace Officer of the Year, from CCWF, was Sgt. Concepcion Segoviano, and from Valley State Prison was Correctional Officer F. Sandoval.
