Staff from the California Correctional Institution (CCI) walked a mile uphill to bring awareness to suicide prevention. It’s part of a Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk at the institution.

Staff walked from the front gate to Facility A to help bring awareness to suicide prevention, and to remember victims of suicide and the family and friends left behind.

Representatives from Save A Life Today (SALT) joined the effort. SALT is a Kern County non-profit organization that raises funds for suicide prevention and assists those bereaved by suicide. The walked alongside CCI staff for the suicide prevention event.
