Lt. Elias Garcia

Staff from the California Correctional Institution (CCI) walked a mile uphill to bring awareness to suicide prevention. It’s part of an Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk at the institution.

Staff walked from the front gate to Facility A to help bring awareness to suicide prevention, and to remember victims of suicide and the family and friends left behind.

Representatives from Save A Life Today (SALT), a Kern County Non-Profit Organization that raise funds for suicide prevention and to assist those bereaved by suicide, also laced up their walking shoes to participate in the event.
