Lonie Hansen, a retired correctional counselor II, passed away February 15, 2022.
He began his career as a correctional officer in November 1984, reported to California Rehabilitation Center. In 1991, he promoted to sergeant and again, five years later, he promoted to lieutenant.
In June 2000, he became a correctional counselor, promoting to CCII in 2002.
After 28 years with the department, he retired in November 2012.
“Our sincerest condolences are extended to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time,” states a memo issued by the institution.
Services will be held at 12:45 am, March 17, at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside.
