The Mule Creek State Prison (MCSP) Honor Guard represented CDCR on March 26, helping with Amador County Little League West’s opening day.

The Honor Guard took a position on the infield, posting the colors and singing of the National Anthem. With the sun shining bright, the community gathered to support all of their kids playing the game of baseball.

The 2022 season turned out to be the largest in the league’s history, fielding 32 teams.

As always, MCSP is a huge supporter of the community’s youth programs.

“MCSP is a part of our community supporting our youth,” said Warden Patrick Covello.

Last year, with six months of planning and two fundraisers later, MCSP raised over $17,000 for the league. This allowed them to purchase and install two new digital score boards at Charles Howard Park in Ione.
