Pelican Bay State Prison (PBSP) Prison Paws Partnership recently held their fifth-round canine graduation. The dogs participated in a six-week program where they learned obedience and socialization skills to be ready for adoption.
The program teaches the incarcerated skills for reentry into society while assisting local dog shelters to find canines a home.
The Prison Paws Partnership is a collaboration between PBSP and the Humane Society of Del Norte dating back to November 2017.
CDCR’s Office of Public and Employee Communications (OPEC) assisted in posting the PBSP dogs on social media until graduation.
All the graduating dogs found new loving homes.
