Karl Valdez, a Materials & Stores Supervisor at California Health Care Facility, passed away July 19, 2023.
He began his CDCR career at CSP-Solano in 2006. Throughout his career, he’s worked at the Division of Juvenile Justice, Northern California Youth Correctional Center, Deuel Vocational Institution and California Health Care Facility.
“We extend our most sincere condolences to Karl’s family,” according to a statement issued by the institution. “He will be greatly missed by all.”
Funeral schedule is as follows:
- Final viewing: Aug. 1, 8:30-9:30 a.m., Cano Funeral Home, 2164 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Stockton
- Funeral service: Aug. 1, 10-11 a.m., St. Linus Catholic Church, 2620 S. B St., Stockton
- Burial: Aug. 1, 11:30-12:30 p.m., San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, E. Harding Way, Stockton
