54 graduate CBI program at CTF

The Correctional Training Facility (CTF) at Soledad and the Division of Rehabilitative Programs hosted a Cognitive Behavioral Interventions (CBI) graduation on Facility B March 14.

CBI is a component of Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment (ISUDT), a comprehensive and evidence-based program designed to identify incarcerated people at risk for substance use disorder (SUD) related harms and provide treatment which reduces risk of overdose and other complications associated with SUD.

Treatment may include CBI or Medication Assisted Treatment, as clinically indicated.

At CTF, a total of 54 graduates completed the 14-week CBI Outpatient course focused on SUD related topics and a 28-week CBI Life Skills Course.

During the Life Skills course, participants learned how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns which have a negative influence on behavior.

CBI participants receive one week of Milestone Completion Credits for every 80 hours of participation and one additional week upon successful program completion.
