Robert Love, the CDCR Victim Offender Dialogue (VOD) manager, explains what a VOD entails and how it can be key for the victim in the healing process.

This is the second of a three-part podcast series looking at the Office of Victim and Survivor Rights and Services as part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, observed April 21-27.
The VOD is a victim-initiated process resulting in a face-to-face conversation with the incarcerated person who caused harm.
Love talks about the importance of VOD partnerships, how the Department handles each case with care, and his aspirations for the program moving forward.
Hosted by Alia Cruz, public information officer
Produced by Clarissa Resultan, CDCR staff photographer
