Nancy Paez, administrative assistant to the Receiver and Undersecretary of Health Care Services, passed away Sept. 18, 2024.

She began her state service career with California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) in 2008 as an office technician for Nursing Services and Health Care Administration Operations. She also served as a staff services analyst before being appointed administrative assistant II for the Receiver’s Office in 2013. She remained in this role until her passing.
“As many know, Nancy was the heart and soul of the executive office at CCHCS and was loved and respected by many throughout the organization. She was a critical part of the efficiency and integrity of CCHCS’s executive office and became a wise friend and mentor to so many. She was respected and loved by all who knew her. Nancy will be and is already greatly missed,” according to a statement issued by CCHCS.
