Manuel Adlao, a retired correctional officer, recently passed away. The department was informed Oct. 22, 2024.

Adlao began his career with the department in September 1998 as a cadet in the Basic Correctional Officer Academy. After graduating, he reported to the Correctional Training Facility (CTF) in Soledad in October 1998.
He remained at CTF until retiring in October 2010.
“Adlao was an invaluable member of CTF and will always be in our hearts. He was very well respected amongst his peers, subordinates, supervisors, and managers. Adlao will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with him,” according to a statement issued by CTF. “Our sincerest condolences are extended to Adlao’s family, friends, and loved ones.”
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Oct. 29, at Memory Garden Cemetery in Concord.
