Retired Correctional Officer Manuel “Manny” Rodriguez passed away May 7, 2025.

Rodriguez began his distinguished career with the department at the Correctional Training Facility (CTF) at Soledad in March 1983. He remained at CTF, serving with dedication and honor, until his retirement in December 2003.
“Throughout his career, Rodriguez was recognized for his unwavering professionalism, integrity, and exemplary commitment. He earned profound respect and admiration from colleagues and made a lasting impact within our community,” according to CTF. “As we mourn this significant loss, we kindly ask all staff to keep Officer Rodriguez and his family in your thoughts during this difficult time.”
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
• Viewing: May 22 from 4 to 7 p.m.
• Rosary: May 22 at 7 p.m.
• Funeral Services: May 23 at 10 a.m. followed by a reception from noon to 2 p.m.
All services will be held at Greenlawn SW Celebration of Life Center, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield.
