Curtis Rogers, a retired associate management auditor, passed away June 9, 2025. Rogers worked for CDCR for 26 years.

He began his career with the department as a youth correctional counselor in 1995. He later transferred to the Division of Rehabilitative Programs as an associate governmental program analyst in 2001. Rogers then joined the Office of Audits and Court Compliance (OACC) in 2008 as an associate management auditor where he remained until he retired in 2021.
“Curtis was a valuable member of the OACC team. His former coworkers remember him as a nice guy and someone who was enjoyable to work with. Curtis always helped lighten the mood in the office,” according to OACC. “Though big in stature, Curtis was a soft-spoken teddy bear – a gentle giant whose bright smile, positive demeanor, and infectious laugh brought joy to the office even during the most stressful times. He will be dearly missed.”
According to coworkers, Rogers was a foodie who was not afraid to try different food. He also enjoyed cruises and was a huge Chiefs fan.
No public services are planned.
