Clyde Stribling III, a retired correctional supervising cook, passed away July 2, 2025.
Stribling began his state career with the California Conservation Corps in October 1986.

In 2002, he began working at a youth conservation camp as a correctional cook.
Three years later, he was working at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center in Galt as a correctional cook II. In 2014, he transferred to California State Prison (CSP) Sacramento, as a correctional supervising cook. He continued at the institution until he retired in May 2024.
“Stribling served this institution with dedication and professionalism for many years,” according to CSP-Sacramento. “He was a valued member of our team and contributed significantly to the daily operations and morale of our facility. Stribling’s commitment to excellence and service had a lasting impact on staff and incarcerated persons alike. We extend our heartfelt condolences to family and friends and all those who had the privilege of working alongside him. Please take a moment to remember Mr. Stribling and honor his service to our institution.”
