Bette Rodgers, a retired correctional officer, passed away Aug. 5, 2025. She worked for the department for 32 years.

She started her career with the department as a correctional officer at California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi in May 1988.
Rodgers worked her entire career at California Correctional Institution until retiring in June 2020.
“We extend our very deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Bette’s family, colleagues, and friends. She will be remembered and missed by many,” according to the institution.
