Victor Green, retired correctional sergeant

Victor Green, a retired correctional sergeant, has passed away, reports Ironwood State Prison. His date of passing was not provided.

Green began his state career with the California Conservation Corps as Assistant Chief of Buildings and Grounds Division in March 1992. Nearly two years later, he opted to switch careers and reported to the Basic Correctional Officer Academy in January 1994.

After graduating, he was assigned to Ironwood State Prison in February 1994. He was later promoted to correctional sergeant at Ironwood in November 2004. Green retired in December of 2013 after 21 years of state service.

“Victor’s passion was to help people, and he had a lasting impact on everyone he knew. He was very well loved by his partners and was a family man with strong values. Victor will be fondly remembered and greatly missed,” according to Ironwood State Prison.
