The RJ Donovan Correctional Facility recreational coaches held a softball game for the incarcerated population to honor victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

Coaches J. Torres and S. Anguiano held the game on Facility D which also included a moment of silence to honor those lost during the attacks 24 years ago.
Acting Facility Capt. T. Martinez and acting Associate Warden B. Franckowiak attended to show their support. The associate warden opened the game by throwing out the first pitch.
TV Specialist M. Bossi was on hand to capture the game’s action, showing support for the population who participated in the event.
“RJ Donovan thanks all who participated. They demonstrated sportsmanship and showed respect and remembrance to all those affected by the events of Sept. 11, 2001,” according to staff organizers.
