California State Prison-Solano recently welcomed the San Francisco 49ers Foundation for a special visit.
After meeting in the admin building, the group headed into Level II facilities for a one-of-a-kind speaking engagement. There, they celebrated the impact of incarcerated individuals who recently organized a successful food sale fundraiser. The Solano population ended up donating $24,000 directly to the 49ers Foundation.
“We were humbled to host 49ers alumni legends Bryant Young and Steve Bono, along with 49ers Foundation’s Kayleigh Anderson, Austin Fleishour, Thomas Baksa, and team photographer Terrell Lloyd,” said CSP-Solano organizers.

They spoke with incarcerated individuals about football, resilience, and giving back — sparking deep conversations about life, purpose, and community.
The visit was capped with autograph signings, photo ops, and a donation of NFL/49ers-themed flag football equipment from the foundation.
To wrap up the day, guests were treated to a meal at the Delancey Street Restaurant at Solano, proudly prepared and served by incarcerated individuals honing their culinary skills through the training program.
