Kern Valley State Prison’s (KVSP) Community Resources Office (CRO) helped get local students into the Halloween spirit. The prison partnered with the Kiwanis Club to host a pumpkin patch for elementary students at Heritage Park Museum in Delano.
Children arrived at the pumpkin patch and enjoyed a fall inspired story read by a Kiwanis Club member. After story time, students crafted bookmarks and picked out pumpkins with KVSP staff.
The event was a great way for KVSP staff to give back to the community by getting the kids ready for Halloween while visiting a local museum in their community.
