Thanks to the efforts of staff, contraband was discovered at various locations in October.
K-9 Justice uncovers drugs, tobacco, cell phones
When the California State Prison-Los Angeles County K-9 unit was summoned to the Release and Receiving area to search property being issued to A Facility, K-9 Justice hit on two boxes.
The boxes were secured and after being searched in October, staff uncovered the following contraband:
- nearly two pounds of methamphetamine
- one pound of THC wax
- nearly four pounds of tobacco, rolling papers
- six cell phones
- a dozen MP3 players
- three cordless earbuds
- a radio
- and 18 corded headphones.

High Desert State Prison finds
Custody staff at High Desert State Prison in Susanville turned up numerous weapons during searches. During cell searches, they found five manufactured weapons and a hacksaw.
