Centinela State Prison recently hosted a ceremony celebrating one retirement and multiple promotions for non-custody and custody staff members. Centinela’s Honor Guard presented the colors and sang the National Anthem during the April 20 ceremony.

RN K. Wyatt: Retiring after 30 years of service
The ceremony began with recognizing Registered Nurse K. Wyatt for 30 years of service.
Chief Nurse Executive Minor spoke about their time working together over the years.
Minor wished her endless days of relaxation and joy in her retirement.

The ceremony then flowed into recognizing Correctional Case Records Manager (CCRM) Jennifer Vasquez.
Correctional Counselor III, Classification and Parole Representative, Jenifer Burgos congratulated her on her promotion and her hard work over her years of service.
Warden Green greeted family, friends and staff. Green then spoke to the newly promoted staff and sergeants setting the expectations of leadership.
As staff were being pinned by family members, a mentor or partner of their choice provided a brief history of their promotional journey.

Newly promoted sergeants are:
- Erica Ruan
- Daniel Torres
- Ramon Rivera
- Leonardo Tellez



Families said they were happy and thankful to be part of all the special moments celebrated during the ceremony.
