California Correctional Institution (CCI) at Tehachapi recognized its dedicated staff during its fourth quarterly promotional ceremony. Leadership honored custody and non-custody employees for their recent promotions and career achievements.
The ceremony celebrated the hard work and commitment of CCI employees who have advanced into new roles serving the institution and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Special guest speakers were Lt. Chad Huckleberry, public information officer from North Kern State Prison, and Ernie Rocha from the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility (SATF). Both speakers were there representing the California Correctional Supervisors Organization (CCSO). They shared remarks on leadership, professional growth and the importance of supporting staff at every level of the department.
“Promotions like these reflect not only individual dedication, but the strength of our entire institution,” said Warden Thomas Valdez.
The ceremony brought together staff, families and administration to acknowledge the promoting staffs’ accomplishments and their continued service to CCI’s mission.
