Offender Outcomes and Characteristics
CDCR develops a number of reports related to offender outcomes (e.g. arrests, convictions and returns to prison) and offender characteristics (e.g. sentence type, commitment offense).
Offender Data Points
Offender Data Points describe the demographics (e.g. gender, age) and characteristics (e.g. length of stay, commitment offense) of CDCR’s prison population over a two-year period. CDCR reports Offender Data Points data monthly through our Tableau Public Dashboard and provides archives to older reports.

Offender Recidivism
The Recidivism Report is produced on an annual basis and studies the reoffending patterns (arrests, convictions, and returns to prison) of all CDCR offenders released during a given fiscal year. Recidivism rates are reported by offender demographics (e.g. gender, age) and characteristics (e.g. commitment offense, length of stay).
