Parole Hearing Reservations Guide

How to make a reservation

Welcome Screen

  1. Go to VSPHR and a Disclaimer prompt will appear. Read the Disclaimer, check the three boxes and click “I ACCEPT” to continue to the form.
  2. You now should be presented with a Welcome screen.

  1. Read the disclaimer and check the box for “Hearing is more than 15 days and less than 180 days from Today” and click “Begin Reservation”

Incarcerated Person Information Screen

  1. If you know the Incarcerated Person’s CDCR Number, please enter it. Otherwise you can use the California Incarcerated Records and Information Search (CIRIS) to search for the number. Search for CDCR Number

  1. After a valid CDCR Number is entered, click on “Search” and it will auto-populate the First Name, Last Name, Location of Hearing fields.
  2. Enter the Date of Hearing and County of Sentencing information.
  3. Click “Continue”

Hearing Attendees Screen

  1. Complete the required fields for Requestor Information. Once that is completed, you can add attendee.
Image shows to Completed Requestor Information and add Attendee(s). Required Requestor fields are Last Name, Firstname, Relatioship to Direct Victim, Email Address, Phone Number, Mailing Address, City, State, Zip Code. There is also a checkbox for "Address is outside of USA".
  1. Click “Add Attendee” and completed the required fields. You may add additional attendees by clicking “Add Attendee” again.
Select Type of Attendee, enter last name, firstname. Optional fields: emaill address and Phone Number.
  1. Click “Continue”.

Submit RSVP Screen

  1. Answer the questions on the screen and check the agreement box.

Check the box where it says "I'm not a robot" and complete the verification. After the verification is completed, you can Submit the RSVP.

Confirmation Screen

Example: Your Request is Complete Thank you, your reservation will be reviewed and is pending approval. Once reviewed you'll be emailed a decision. Your Reservation ID is: 4jubbhfln8 Please reference your ID if needing to modify an existing appointment. If you would like to learn more about services available to victims, please visit Victim Request for Services or you can Apply Online. Important Please Read All requests will be reviewed by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Office of Victim and Survivor Rights and Services and you will be informed if your request is approved or if more information is needed. Please note: California Penal Code Section 3043 requires victim family members, representatives and support persons to request attendance at least 30 days prior to the scheduled date of a parole hearing. If the date of the parole hearing you are requesting to attend is less than 30 days from today’s date you must contact OVSRS at 1-877-256-6877 or via email at victimservices@cdcr.ca.gov. Also, please note that requests will be processed in a timely manner however there may be a need to delay processing requests due to various case factors.
