How to Request Transcripts and Certificates from the Office of Correctional Education

People formerly incarcerated at CDCR or DJJ can request a copy of their education transcripts.  Please note – DJJ facilities have closed effective July 1, 2023. Expect requests to be processed in approximately 10 business days.

Use the below link to a form or provide a signed letter requesting the transcript that contains all of the following information below pertaining to the formerly incarcerated person:

  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • CDCR #
  • Institution name
  • Approximate time frame of attendance
  • Daytime phone number
  • Mailing address
  • Graduation date, if applicable
  • Specify GED or high school diploma

Here’s how to make your requests for DJJ academic records:

  • CYA/DJJ ID#
  • Institution name
  • Approximate time frame of attendance
  • Daytime phone number
  • Mailing address
  • Graduation date, if applicable
  • Specify GED or high school diploma
