May 1st: Empowering Justice-Involved Youth in Higher Education
Hear from student leaders and cohort members about their experience and the support they receive through Rising Scholars as they transition(ed) from incarceration back into their communities and on their academic paths in higher education. Learn about the resources offered to formerly incarcerated individuals, with an emphasis on mental health support and successful reintegration into society and academia.

May 9th: Wellness Support

Learn how Safe Haven Wellness and Recovery Center in Colusa County provides peer supported services to adults and older adults who are in recovery from substance use, dealing with mental
health issues, and or avoiding isolation. In addition, explore how Social Advocates for youth SAY San Diego, which provides services to address the comprehensive needs of the entire child, individual or family rather than focusing on one symptom or about a specific problem, helps adults on probation think differently, so as to promote positive lifestyle changes and healthy futures.
